cityscape

My new chamber in office is on the 5th floor - it has great glass windows on all sides and I have a beautiful view of the sky . Its raining right now . The room has a beautiful view of greenery and people's houses , a smog diffused image of the Vidyasagar setu , the twin towers of the South City complex - a bit like dingy brown boxes with black gaping squares and rectangles at defined intervals , a wide swathe of sky with ominous black clouds rolling by and that most beautiful of sights - a long sinuous sparkling streak of electric silver ripples soundlessly across the sky ,sending long curling fronds in all directions ,before splitting the sky with a loud crack of thunder - I am looking forward to the monsoons from this room ..

Cause for envy. But we can derive vicarious pleasure from your descriptions.

@JAP - You can , I suppose . Actually most of the houses look pretty seedy and the terraces are revelations .
@Panu - closer home than u think
@Srin- shall whack u for pretending my books are yours
@inkblot- Thank you - monsoons are best seen from inside than felt outside
