Happy Things :)

Rain splashed window and the buildings beyond .. turn of the century houses built by the well heeled babus of Bhowanipore
Big windows with rain splattered glass panes ,rain washed green leaves outside

And a delicious baked potato oozing butter and melted gruyere served with a tomato, onion sour cream salad and a smidgeon of coleslaw

Bringing me that much closer to heaven.....

And this .

Dear Padma who blogs as Hiphopgrandmom , and Usha of Ageless Bonding gave me an award for being an honest blogger . I don't know that I deserve this because I am very non committal but some iota of honesty must have shown through ! Thank you, dear friend .The rules are to send it to 7 bloggers . I would be doing an injustice if I did that ,and therefore am including all my favourite bloggers on my blogroll and Madmomma ,that very nice young lady, who is not on the roll because I have been too lazy to update it , but who nevertheless , knows that she is a favourite and a daily necessity , like my first cup of Darjeeling tea

Mrs G... Thank you for your comment on my column; I just noticed it this afternoon. Now I concur with Hiphopgrandmom that you are most definately an honest blogger but as poor Mrs T has already told Usha..there is no way Mrs T can be called such a thing! There are many other more suitable adjectives I feel..

And Mrs G you have a certain way with descriptive words that is always so poignant. Right now I have a desire for a baked potato which is stronger than my desire for chocolate...

Nice photos (cell-phone cameras are not known for depth of field anyway).

Where did you meet that potato? The plate is Eden Pavilion but the background isn't.

Happy, Nive, yummy, delicious - like you! Congrats, Hugs.

How come I always seem to want the same things as Jane - Pierce normally and chocolate but right now, those baked potatoes and everything else on that plate.

I miss home so much. Rain on the windows and the all trees were magical with a helping of khichuri and bhaja. Happy Puja!
