And to think I have degenerated into one of the mothers who hang around in flocks ,droves,gaggles,herds and what have you, outside the various schools ( in my locality and others - the enterprising often hire out premises to these ladies and offer them cha biskoot service also - priya marie ;and I speak with authority because the pretty and vacuous Mohor is one of these ladies - oh how I digress ... i do it in print because Im not allowed to speak much at home ,thanks to T A & T . ) haranguing their kids to deliver their best in the exams - and Im doing pretty much the same to poor not so little T2 ( shes taller than T1's friend M )who is very puzzled - and comes back feeling guilty if she hasnt managed all the questions - which would make her a candidate for the 1st 3 , (which she'sefinitely NOT ) but the urge is there , which I count as a very positive sign ....
She's not like T1 whose reports always read "Very intelligent but lacks attention span"(when she was small) ; this graduated to " Very intelligent but lacks application" and such similar statements . Her teachers were always very suspicious of her intentions , good or bad , Inever was sure , but one teacher whispered to me , after the parent teacher meeting - "SHEs always laughing " - . She was unwilling to make it a full fledged complaint for fear of what T1 might have done . Knowing her , probably nothing , but the teacher was petrified .
T2's teachers however are full of what a sweet and sincere child she is - which is not quite true , but which probable has its genesis in the expressions that clever T2 employs - woebegone , with her lower lip sticking out just so , so that you want to cuddle her and make it okay or simply bland and so deferential ( all teachers love chamchas and Tani knows that )So despite being academically less proficient than the good T1, she enjoys a far better reputation..!
