Two days at the Travancore Heritage was a treat .
The sights , sounds and taste of Kerala never cease to amaze me .
Driving into Trivandrum was very restful - neat houses -
nallakettus nestling deep in groves of palm , jackfruit
and wildly coloured bougainvilleas -
the ubiquitous lungi ,
toddy ( toaarree) joints and the red flag rampant in alleys and gullies .
Mallus and Bongs as the great John at the hotel in Munnar pointed out to us " eat fish, practise CPM - Mallu-Bong same same ". The food was mind blowing - a mix of truly Kerala as in appams , ishtoo , dosas ,crab curry ,pepper fried mutton and prawns and kerala papad . The buffet was continental - sirloin of beef , penne and great gateaux . The ambience was great . The work was good because we couldnt venture out thanks to Madame Patil's visit on day one and a total BJP bandh on the other .

Sheesh! You should have mailed. Glad we helped you relax with the customary bandh :)
