The colours of spring

I sent out two perfectly clean pretty girls in the morning to play holi and look what came back
This one was exhausted and uniformly coated with what looked like tar .Only the whites of her eyes and her teeth showed white

The white walls of the stairwell threw the blackness into relief

Th younger one was more colourful

It took Tani about an hour to scrub out most of the muck from her face and arms but the less said about her older sister the better. She went to sleep marginally clean than when she had walked in .

you know we don't have Holi here--probably because we have no spring!

I love it. I think I would have enjoyed going out and getting painted with the girls.

We just did a ritual bit of Holi-playing this year- no kids to enjoy it with. We were out last evening and saw lots and lots of colour stained people.

MY GOD!
But I must say they look lovely especially the colours on tani's face.
Now I am thinking of the state of your bathroom floors!

The older one took some pleasure rubbing colour on my teeth, cause they were too white.

I had never heard of Holi, but it sure looked like your daughters had a real fun time. Their pretty features still showed thru all the coloring on their faces. Cute girls.

Haha.. I described the older one as 'a prosperous African tribal leader' in my holi post. And I contributed to making her look like that! *proud*
